Organizational Setup STARIC/N’s organizational structure consists of a General Assembly comprising general members and promoters, and a Governing Board at the second level consisting of members elected by the General Assembly, which provides policy direction to the management and approves rules and regulations of the organization. The Executive Director, who is the executive head of the institution and member secretary of the board and is responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth implementation of the projects and programs, heads the management of the organization. Publications STARIC/N publishes annual reports, newsletters, illustrated manuals, case studies, technical brochures and operational guidelines, books on appropriate technologies for their practical application by project officials and grass-roots technology users and beneficiaries. |

Sustainable Technology – Adaptive Research & Implementation Center, Nepal (STARIC/N) is a professional non-governmental organization engaged in developing and promoting appropriate/rural technologies effective in meeting the basic needs of the rural mass and improving their life support systems. STARIC/N is registered with His Majesty’s Government of Nepal (HMG/N) under the Society Registration Act 2004. Under the dynamic leadership of one of the pioneers in renewable and rural energy technologies, it is actively engaged in up-grading traditional technologies and also developing new technologies to make it more diversified and versatile to meet rural needs. Sustainable Development comes first before any technology. Mission Promote and propagate environmentally sound and sustainable rural/appropriate technologies thereby strengthening the capability of rural poor communities to respond to their basic needs by creating better options and opportunities for improving the livelihood and upgrading the socio economic condition of the rural population. Vision To help develop, promote and disseminate the environmentally sound ans sustainable rural/appropriate technologies that emphasize the optimum uses of the locally available skills means and resources in order to enhance the process of rural development thereby improve the livelihood of the rural population.
